LVMIS-WPHC is recognized as a Center of Excellence in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic sacrocolpopexy. This distinction was achieved through the dual mission of providing state-of-the-art procedures to patients in and around the Las Vegas metropolitan area, as well as educating and training surgeons throughout the nation and worldwide. LVMIS-WPHC is internationally recognized for training, research and being 1 of only approximately 40 AAGL-SRM accredited training fellowships in advanced Gynecological and Pelvic Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Through this dual-pronged approach, LVMIS-WPHC is advancing the many medical benefits of minimally invasive techniques for the betterment of healthcare and putting those techniques into practice for the good of our patients. Patients of LVMIS-WPHC are given undivided attention to understand the issues affecting their quality of life. We offer extensive education on the many available treatment options and support each patient’s optimal health choice.

Patient Care

LVMIS-WPHC is well known for being a “patient-centric” center of excellence in minimally invasive surgery and pelvic health. It’s not enough to just offer the most cutting-edge surgical procedures available. We strive to not only meet our patient’s expectations, but we exceed them with the best outcomes. Women and their families are treated as individuals. Our patient’s unique circumstances are attended to with a team approach. Before any patient undergoes surgery, the necessary studies and health assessments are performed in order to maintain the highest level of safety.

Patients seeking care outside the Las Vegas area have many accommodation options for them and their families. From personalized car service to appointment assistance, patients have a health concierge arrange everything for them. Depending on the surgery, both the patient and their family can stay at a number of our selected venues that best fits individual needs.

Fellowship training and resident education is a hallmark of LVMIS-WPHC. Through collaboration with Harbor-UCLA, future gynecologic surgeons learn the latest and least invasive surgical techniques. Since 2003, Dr. Volker and his faculty of master surgeons have been training practicing physicians through professional education and sabbatical fellowships. Since the inception of LVMIS-WPH, more than 2,000 gynecological surgeons have been trained.
